Because it’s only a matter of time before Damon and Stefan will turn her into a vampire, Klaus states that the worst thing for her was the Salvatore brothers. Elena comes home with Matt, finding Alaric bleeding to death. He wanted her to stab him because she’s supernatural and he would came back to life. Elena learns she and Katherine look identical and believes that Stefan only loves her due to the her resemblance to Katherine, believing he might consider her Katherine’s replacement.
Reluctantly, Stefan comes to realize the real deep meaningful and true love that Damon has for Elena, but still holds a glimmer of hope that he and Elena might get back together. Stefan Salvatore is the younger brother of Damon Salvatore and the former original love interest of Elena Gilbert. Elena and Stefan first met each other on the first day of the second year at Mystic Falls High and instantly the two developed a bond and attraction and quickly developed a relationship together. Eventually, Elena realize she can’t stay away from Stefan and realises she loves him, but he tries to push her away, not wanting her to get involved in the supernatural world. Eventually after years of seperation, Damon and Elena were at long last finally reunited in the series finale.
While Stefan, Bonnie and the rest of their friends try to find a solution, Elena is trying to adapt to the changes around her, but finds herself uncomfortable, unable to eat and can’t stand bright lights. During her transition, Elena begins to remember several important moments that Damon long ago compelled away. Elena remembers their first true meeting on the night company website her parents died and Damon confessing his love for Elena from the second season, leaving her awestruck from these new revelations and developments. Elena is the biological daughter of Isobel Fleming and John Gilbert. However, upon her birth, they decided to give Elena up and left her in the care of John’s brother Grayson and his wife Miranda and they adopted her.
Season 3: Unofficially Broken Up, Stefan Leaves Town With Klaus
In the epilogue, Elena continued to study at medical school. After finishing her education, she went back to Mystic Falls and lived together with Damon, happily married for a long time. After living out her life, she crosses over to the afterlife where she finally reunites with her parents, Aunt Jenna and Uncle John.
What happens to Elena in the books?
At one point, Rebekah smoothly lifts Elena’s day walker ring off her finger and throws it into the garbage disposal, leaving our new vampire girl awkwardly exposed. Armed with the white oak dagger, she tells Stefan that she plans to kill Rebekah. Stefan responds by reminding her that taking out an Original is not just murdering one vampire. Rather than attack her host, Elena does a keg stand on the way out and chugs a gut-load of beer. Rebekah watches but is distracted but the pain pulsing through her body, caused by the werewolf venom that Connor slipped into the keg. After they leave the party, Stefan and Elena go on a motorcycle ride.
Damon is worried Elena’s feelings might not be real after discovering the sirebond between them. Although it’s revealed the sirebond only affects her actions and not her love for him, Damon still retains his worries of their relationship and feels guilty, believing he might be taking advantage of her. Later, Damon and Elena’s relationship is broken off when Elena shuts off her humanity after the death of her brother Jeremy. Damon’s love for Elena is incredibly and deeply strong as he always saves Elena whenever she is in trouble if Stefan is never around. Damon also puts Elena first as if a choice is forced to be made when Elena is put in danger, Damon would always choose Elena over everything else, showing he is extremely protective of her.
Damon yanks her back across just in time and tells her that he wont risk her life for her to remember their love. At the fundraiser, Damon introduces himself to Liam, prompting Elena to have to explain why Damon isn’t actually dead. During the dance, Damon tells Elena about the first time they danced at the Miss Mystic Falls pageant and how they both got lost in that moment. She tries to explain again that she doesn’t remember them and leaves to get some air.
Additionally, Klaus was known to be infertile until the introduction of Hayley Marshall in The Originals. The show establishes that Hayley is one of the rare werewolves capable of carrying Klaus’ child due to their unique supernatural genetics. Thus, it is unlikely that Klaus was fertile enough to impregnate anyone before that.
She Was Romantically Involved With Both Salvatore Brothers
In What Lies Beneath, Elena, Damon, Stefan and Caroline decide to make a trip to Caroline’s father’s remote cabin to hide Stefan and Elena from the travelers. They take Luke along with them so that he is able to perform an anti-locator spell which will hide them from the travelers. At Caroline’s dad’s cabin, Elena worries about Damon and tells Stefan that keeping the secret of Enzo’s death is a terrible idea. Stefan convinces her by saying that Damon won’t be able to handle it. Caroline interrupts them and becomes suspicious of them hiding something.
Elena summons Matt and Tyler for Jell-o shots, but Tyler declines for “rage issue” reasons and Matt says he has to deal with Jay. Elena thinks they’re drifting apart and Caroline makes a subtle reference to Elena choosing to forget about Damon, and all her problems. Caroline bites her tongue, but leaves Elena by herself. Elena goes searching for Bonnie in the boiler room, runs into Kol, and then is forced to fight Katherine after Kol vanishes.
Legacies is a spin-off series of The Vampire Diaries, which started airing in 2018, and it is set in the same fictional universe. The show focuses on the next generation of supernatural beings at the Salvatore School for gifted youngsters. However, the show takes place years after the events of The Vampire Diaries, and many of the original cast members are not involved in the series.
